Taking the first step toward therapy can feel like a big move, but it doesn't have to be overwhelming. My goal is to make the process as straightforward, safe, and comfortable as possible. Here is everything you need to know about preparing for our work together.
To help you feel grounded and ready for your first appointment, here is a quick checklist:
✔️ Complete Your Intake Paperwork: Please fill out the online intake forms sent to your email prior to our session. This allows us to focus our time on you rather than administrative details.
✔️ Reflect on Your Goals: You don't need to have everything figured out - that's what we are here for! But taking a moment to think about what brought you here or what you hope might feel different in your life is a great place to start.
✔️ Set Up a Quiet, Comfortable Space (For Telehealth): If we are meeting online, find a private space where you feel safe to speak freely, without distractions, with a stable internet connection.
✔️ Bring Your Questions: Therapy is a collaborative partnership. Bring any questions you have about my approach, logistics, or what to expect.
✔️ Give Yourself Permission to Just Show Up: You don't need to put on an act or have the "right" words. Come as you are - wisdom, struggles, and all.
